Trapped at 35,000 ft

I love airplanes. I love watching them from afar, take off gracefully into the sky, their lights blinking like stars. From a distance, they are beautiful, powerful, a marvel of engineering.
But I hate being in one. The cramped seats, the turbulence that shakes you when you least expect it. The endless preparation, the security checks, the baggage of it all. There’s so much effort just to get off the ground— And once you're up there, trapped at 35,000 feet, the world outside is nothing but vast, Cold and Hostile.
Everyone on the ground sees the romance of flight. But only those inside know how isolating it feels when the cabin door locks behind you, when you're stuck in a pressurized tube with no escape until it lands. You’re supposed to trust the pilot, trust the machine, trust that it’ll carry you safely to your destination. But what if you never wanted to leave the ground in the first place?
This isn't about airplanes
